 Has anyone seen the 2010 max payne movie starring mark wahlberg? i didnt know about it until my wife told me she saw some of it on cable today. i assume its lame but i was just wondering if anyone here had seen it.

It's a 2008 film... the first-half of the movie is great, but the second-half, when he takes the Valkyre drug and sees demons... crap.

Don't watch this it'll give you bad luck for the next 10 years.
I've only seen the beginning of tihs movie, that part where he fights "gay stripper with a knife" and a reversed shootdodge with a shotgun.
Glad I didn't see the rest of it.

The game's better on it's own or as a comic novel.

Bruce Willis shoulda been Max Payne instead.

It was a horrible, horrible movie.  James McCaffrey(Voice, MoCap, Face of Max Payne in Max Payne 3) or Bruce Willis would have been a much, MUCH better Max Payne.

Actually, just James McCaffery would be great.

He's kinda too old to play Max Payne from the first game, but if Hugh Jackman starred in Wolverines Origins, then why not?

mark wahlberg is a faggot and a chump. I'm happy I didn't watch this movie and I'm never going to.

bruce willis IS max payne !! man.. if they only made the max payne movie with bruce when he was younger..















they should however make a new max payne movie, with bruce in Brazil (based on max payne 3) they should only base the movie on how rodrigo was murdered and when his head is shaved. I mean, it should begin with that. it'd be cool.

I really didn't think the movie was bad at all, the pacing and tone were a bit disjointed but Mark Wahlberg played a pretty good tough guy and got a good gravely voice down. Certainly not the ideal Max Payne movie (but then Max Payne was always an homage to action movies so making a movie out of a video game that mimics movies seems unnecessary) but it had its moments.

I think Mark Wahlberg did a great job. I have a hard time seeing him as "the" Max Payne so to speak, but he definitely did an excellent job in the movie. As for the movie itself, I didn't think it was a horrible movie either. I actually own it on blu ray.

...and I just have to add, I can't stand Bruce Willis. Wahlberg did a million times better of a job than Willis would have as Max. The movie wasn't based on Max Payne 3; Willis looks far too old. If not Wahlberg maybe Christian Bale or somebody else but not Bruce Willis.
